Standard of Living Reflection
It is important to know about the standard of living because then you know whether a country has a low, average, or high standard of living. It lets you compare countries in multiple ways, and lets you know how good life is in a certain country. For example, if you want to move somewhere you would not want to move somewhere with a low standard of living. That is because it would be hard to live there.
The standard of life in a country can be based on where the country is located, and in what region. For example, if a country is blocked by mountains it will be harder for goods to get there, it won’t be as easy to trade either. Also, the life expectancy of people may depend on the location of a place. For example, in very hot, or very cold places, life expectancy of people will be lower than of those who live somewhere with a good, average, weather diversity. It is because it is better for human health when the climate isn’t too dry, or icy. Also, standard of living is higher when there is infrastructure in the place. It makes people’s lives easier.

My 5 Themes of Geography Reflection
Analyzing the world with the five themes of geography helps people better understand connections between people and earth because it helps people find out a lot of information about others. It helps them find where others are located. It also helps learn more about others’ religions and manner. For example if your friend lives in another country they might have different culture than you, and you don’t want to be rude by doing something that does not meet their culture's manner expectations.
I think the theme that is most difficult to understand is the human and environment interactions theme. It is the most difficult one because people (including me) usually mix up; using and changing the environment. You really have to perfectly understand every single detail in order to be able to understand which one it is. For example if somebody is cutting down trees in a forest they might be changing the environment but they might also be using it.

My Basic Map Skills Reflection
What I find easy about basic map skills is remembering all the continents and oceans. It is quite easy for me because I've been already learning them for 3 years in Belarus before moving to America. There is also not too many of them, so they are not that hard to remember. Even though I perfectly remember all the oceans and continents it was pretty hard to find the coordinates. Finding the coordinates is pretty confusing. The 4 hemispheres is what makes it the most difficult. But I found a way to learn how to find the coordinates, I just studied at home with textbooks. But I wouldn have spent my time studying if it wasn't important. I think that learning the basic map skills in necessary because itÅ› going to help you in life. Whether you are going to become a geographer or if you are just planning on traveling some where.
